We are one of the newest wine bars in San Francisco to enter the game in North Beach. Positioned on a block with fewer tourists than locals, this recent addition to the neighborhood brings a comfortable, casual setting with a variety of affordable wines and small dishes to snack on while you sit outside and enjoy the active North Beach scene. Dell'uva, meaning "of the grape" in Italian, is a richly decorated space with bold paintings throughout and even bolder red wines. With an extensive menu of red and white wines — prices starting at as low as $6 a glass — we offer a range of flights from Spain to California and beyond. With trendy "hot spots" sprouting up all over the city, it's becoming increasingly difficult for bars and restaurants to create an individual personality and discover their audience without seeming as though they tried too hard. As part of the pack of upcoming bars and lounges, we are doing its best to stay true to ourselves, a stylish and casual environment with unique wine options, as well as a small assortment of beers and cocktails. In addition to tasty tapas and miniature pizzas, we offer delicious small plates of food for people to enjoy outside on the front patio adorned with green planters or inside on the bench seats covered with throw pillows. The space consists of a large mahogany bar and small, shorter bars against the large panel windows — equipped with hooks underneath for hanging purses and jackets! — accented by Moroccan-inspired décor. Owned by Juri McCorkle and Jason Marcucci, the lounge's mission is to provide quality wine and food at an affordable price so that you don't have to spend time price hunting while reviewing the menu. With chic interiors and a location perfect for people watching, we are quickly becoming more of a destination spot than the usual tourist stops in the surrounding North Beach area. While the décor seems consistent throughout, the flat screen televisions make for a strange vibe when mixed with the romantic lighting at night, although watching sports on weekend afternoons is quite a perk. The solid oak furniture outside is the perfect place to park on a Saturday afternoon while enjoying a nice glass of Campos Reales or a mug of Pilsner, although the weekend nights are quite active with regular patrons, wine connoisseurs, and the overflow of club-goers from Broadway Street. The owners and servers are quick on their feet and provide excellent table service inside and outside (even on weekends!), so that you don't have to go back up to the bar each time you want a drink.
